Hats!!!

Last year my daughters asked me to make them some cute hats. I found a pattern that I liked, had them look through my yarn, and made them a couple of hats. They turned out cute and the girls liked them.

Well, recently I had a friend ask me if I made hats. I had made her a couple of the flower headbands that she was very happy with, so she asked about making a hat for her daughter with a flower on it. I am so much happier with the hat I made for her than the hats I had made for me girls.

I've become a fan of cotton yarn, rather than the typical acrylic yarn that most things are made of. It gives a more polished look and doesn't seem so "fuzzy". This has become my yarn of choice for my projects.

Headbands

I've had a request for a simple headband without the flower. Ta Da! Perfect for those days when you want something in your hair, but a toned down version of something.

Smaller sizes

I have a new niece! I had the thought that I wanted to make her a headband, but I think these 4 inch flowers might just overpower her little head! So here's a smaller version, for smaller heads. This flower measures 2 1/2 inches with slightly shorter strings, also. As you can see, it fits this little head just perfectly!

Thanks to my cute little neighbor for being my model!

Flower Headbands

This all began a couple of months ago when my youngest daughter saw a headband that she just had to have at a local store! I talked her into letting me try to make her one at home. She doubted my skills, but she agreed to give me a chance.

Since then I've made flowered headbands in a variety of colors and I'm happy to say that she approved of my work. My nieces have also been the recipients of my work and they were happy to pick colors to go with their favorite outfits.

Now I'd like to share my work with others! Each is made with 100% cotton yarn and measures approximately 26" long. The flower measures 4" in diameter. The headband ties behind your head, making it completely adjustable in size. They are soft and conform to any head, giving it a comfortable fit for anyone.

Cost is $7.00 per headband or two headbands for $12.00 (a $2.00 savings!). Shipping is $1.50 for one headband, $2.00 for two headbands.

If you see something you would like, please e-mail me at debjens1@yahoo.com. Let me know what color(s) you are interested in and I'll be in contact with you to arrange payment and delivery.

Thanks!
